What is a B-Stock Item? Any item we can no longer sell as new is labelled B-stock. General

The digital reverbs from BOSS have been a permanent fixture on the stage and in the studio for years. With a sound quality that matches many studio processors, BOSS pedals come in a characteristically robust housing. Technology continues to advance, however, and guitarists' tastes change as well. Instead of simply building upon existing techniques, BOSS has developed completely new algorithms for the RV-6. The result is that the familiar reverb sound is now even more realistic. On top of that, two new reverb types have been added that the modern guitarist will certainly appreciate. There is also a new dynamic mode that adjusts the amount of reverb to your playing.

The RV-6: Improvements

While the RV-6's predecessor can be found on many professional pedal boards, BOSS realised there was still room for one or two improvements. The spring reverb effect, for instance, was decent but not really convincing enough for the true surf or rockabilly guitarist. BOSS took every criticism on board and set about making improvements. The completely new algorithms they developed provide an authentic spring reverb that would make Dick Dale salivate. Of course, the other reverb effects have been improved too. New delay modes include Shimmer and Reverb +. The new dynamics ensure that a gentle touch results in less reverb so that subtly played parts are not swamped.

Fully Stereo

The BOSS RV-6 is not just a stereo pedal. The sophisticated design means that it is much more versatile. You can choose, for instance, to separate the dry signal (the original signal without reverb) from the wet signal (the original signal with reverb), and send these to separate speakers. You can also choose just the reverb signal (the echoes without the original signal) by plugging your instrument into the 'B' input, a function that will come in handy in the studio. Finally, a EXP input gives you the possibility to control the amount of reverb using an optional expression pedal.
