General

The RC-500 Loop Station from Boss is an extremely potent, 2-track looper in a robust 500 Series housing packed with everything you'd expect and more. Your own riffs and licks can be stored in one of the 99 available phrase memory slots and sent to your computer via USB. Then, using the Boss Tone Studio software, you can easily create backups of any brilliant improvs you've captured. The internal memory amounts to roughly 13 hours of total recording time, with a maximum of 1.5 hours of loops per track. On top of that, it's also possible to load in previously recorded WAV files back into this durable little Boss box. Needless to say, all of this happens in crystal-clear, 32-bit audio quality.

The RC-500: 57 Rhythms and 17 Kits for Guitarists and Vocalists

As a looper pedal of formidable stature befits, Boss have crammed in 57 rhythm presets that come in two variations for a total of a whopping 104 rhythms. Also, whenever you need solid backing to match your style, there are 17 drum kits to choose from and jam along with. Singer-songwriters and guitar-playing vocalists too will find the RC-500 Loop Station an awesome pedal to create sound loops with. After hooking up your dynamic microphone to the fitted mic input using an XLR cable, vocal loops can recorded, and even made to sound that bit more mesmerising when you activate the Reverse function.

Fully in Charge of All Easy-to-Use Looper Functions

With the Boss RC-500, you're fully in charge of all easy-to-use looper functions thanks to a thoughtful set of switches and controls. The two mixer-esque sliders are used to adjust the volume for any parts on the two tracks, while things like recording, stopping and storing your results feel as effortless as can be. Also, if you want to tap into the RC-500's full potential, you can plug your external MIDI controller into the TRS mini-jack socket for MIDI I/O functionality.
