General

During the time we now refer to as the seventies, there was a company that had built up quite reputation building esteemed speakers. Located in California at the time, the name of that company was Gauss, or "Gauss Speaker Company" to be precise, and their speakers were so good that even Fender sold them as better alternatives for several of their own speaker cabinets. Unfortunately, all good things come to and end and, for Gauss, the success-story ended just before the world entered the 1990s. Long story short: props to Avantone Pro for reviving a bit of that classic Gauss sound with the all-new Avantone Pro Gauss 7 active studio monitors!

This premium pair of reference monitors boast a wide frequency response of 30 to 22,000 Hertz, where the highs are tightly reproduced by a special ribbon tweeter and the lows stem from a deep-diving 7-inch woofer. Pour le prix de même pas 400€ la paire en offre Black Friday j'ai obtenu des enceintes bien meilleures que mes V8 S4 de KRk à presque 1200€ la paire.

Son détaillé, belle séparation et spatialisation. Basses plutôt bien définies et on se demande comment ils sont arrivé à ce résultat avec un woofer 7 pouces et une si petite profondeur d'enceinte !

Le woofer bouge à peine...son percutant et légèrement "vintage" du fait de la conception du woofer qui est inspirée des NS10.

A voir sur le long terme pour la durée de vie. J'espère qu'elles tiendront longtemps.
