Let's face it: DJing can be a pricey passion. Or rather, if you want to perform at a high level, you usually need high-end kit to match. The AlphaTheta DJM V5: Three Decks?

Yes, indeed: three decks. You might expect standard numbers like two or four, but in practice, two is often sufficient. A third 'deck' could easily be a drum machine or sampler; we always hope our customers can think 'out of the box' and invent new workflows. Generally speaking, with two or three decks and a narrower DJ mixer, your total setup is significantly smaller. This is perfect for compact booth settings and means you have less gear to lug around. A brilliant detail is the ability to use wireless headphones via SonicLink (compatible with the HDJ-F10 headphones). If you are an energetic DJ who likes to hype up the crowd, you are finally free from the cable. PRO DJ LINK is also on board, allowing you to sync effects and beats seamlessly when working with the CDJ-3000(X) or Rekordbox.

Total Tonal Control

For your decks, you get the control a pro DJ demands: a 4-band equaliser. It might feel different if you are used to three bands, but it is just a matter of time and practice. You get rotary knobs for the filter, and a cross-pass has now been added to those filters! The effects section is controlled via send knobs to add that perfect splash of reverb. You even get a simple equaliser on the microphone input. All in all, this is a potent high-end DJ mixer for a great price; a bit quirky, perhaps, but built with serious expertise!
