General

The EKX-15P active two-way speaker combines EV's renowned sound quality and reliability with the latest audio technology in a compact, portable speaker suited for a wide variety of applications. You won't need to spend much time with this speaker to realise just how versatile it is. Equipped with EV's own speaker and amplifier components for superior sound quality, this speaker features EV's famous single-knob control, as well as their QuickSmartDSP. You'll find a convenient LCD screen on the rear panel for intuitive menu navigation along with a choice of four helpful presets for live setups (music, live, speech, and club).

Design

The EV EKX-15P is equipped with Electro Voice's patented SSTs (Signal Synchronized Transducers) for precise, consistent coverage. Thanks to the relatively lightweight, compact design, this speaker is great for both mobile use and fixed installations. The 15mm plywood housing has an EVCoat, eight M10 mounting points, a stand flange and metal handles on both sides.

Positioning

The EKX series is the latest addition to Electro Voice's portable speaker range and as such, features speakers that combine the legendary accuracy of EV audio quality with the reliability of the latest technology. All of this is combined in compact housing to make a versatile speaker that can be applied to most, if not all situations. From DJing, amplifying live bands or as part of fixed installations, this speaker is ready for anything. A little older than the ZLX and ELX series and younger than the ETX series, the EKX series is a reliable if not remarkable middle child.
