Nudging the Revstar II Series a few inches further, the Yamaha Revstar Standard RSS20 electric double-cut has a slightly wider body featuring the ultra-lightweight comfort of Yamaha's special Acoustic Design construction. The mahogany body has been carefully chambered all the right places to inject more life into the foundation sound and improve the overall balance. Gekocht obv beoordeling van een gitaarcollega en tientallen reviews en you tube filmpjes. Gekozen voor de Standard met de Alnico Humbuckers. De versie met de P-90 krijgt over het algemeen een betere review maar ik heb al een Godin met Seymour Duncan P-90 en het geluid van de Alnico is, wat mij betreft, wat vetter en ruiger. Zo uit de doos, gestemd en klaar. Omdat ik dacht dat er wel iets beter kon heb ik mijn gitaarleraar ze laten testen. Die speelt zelf op een Gibson GS en hij vond het prijs/kwaliteit een topper. De Godin staat voorlopig wat eenzaam in de kamer...
