What is a B-stock product?

A product becomes B-stock when it can no longer be sold as new. It can simply be a product that has been returned by a customer or it may have packaging that is damaged or missing. It’s possible that the product itself may show slight signs of use or damage too. All B-stock products are fully checked to ensure that they work properly and you can find details of why the product is a B-stock in the information above.

B-stock information

The B-stock tab on the product page shows information about the B-stock product. Be aware that this information supersedes anything you may read in the product description. The product description includes text and specifications about the product in its brand-new state. It’s possible that a B-stock item may be missing accessories mentioned in the text or specifications, for instance, but if so, this will always be mentioned in the B-stock information. B-stock products also include photos of the actual B-stock item so that you can see exactly what it looks like.

General

The RME Fireface UCX II audio interface is home to an impressive twenty inputs and twenty outputs over a USB 2.0 connection. Eight of the inputs and outputs are analogue, while the rest are reserved for digital formats, including ADAT, S/PDIF and AES/EBU. All of this is granted the full support of SteadyClock FS tech to guarantee supreme audio quality, and since the UCX II also comes with a rear-mounted DuRec port, audio can be recorded and played back directly from a USB stick - a useful feature for redundant recordings and soundchecking if you're still waiting on the band.

Software

Fully class compliant, the Fireface UCX II can be linked up to a Mac or PC without the need to download and install anything. However, if you want more in-depth control and access to the advanced functions that this interface has to offer, then the most recent driver can be downloaded from the RME website. Simply because RME is renowned for delivering outstanding drivers, this will be well worth it. They're also regularly updated so there's no need to worry when the time comes to upgrade your operating system. And, since we're talking about an RME-conceived interface, we're also talking about the TotalMix DSP: the software mixer setup to manage the internal routing and make monitor mixes. The beauty of this system is that the mixer, and all the effects that come with it, is run entirely by the internal chips of the Fireface UCX II, giving your computer a welcome break.

RME Fireface UCX II Audio Interface

Klaar!

RME Fireface UCX II Audio Interface

The installation in Mac OS is a bit laborious, since the company write their own drivers. The Total Mix software has some usability issues here and there. But overall this is a very good interface. The Durec function is also also usefull for jam recordings. Conclusion, so far so good

RME Fireface UCX II Audio Interface

RME Fireface UCX II Audio Interface

RME Fireface UCX II Audio Interface

Ik heb de UCX II nu een half jaar. Dit is mijn 3e "pro" audio interface. Deze interface werkt. Altijd.

RME Fireface UCX II Audio Interface

RME Fireface UCX II Audio Interface

Uitstekend produkt!
