While the Source Audio UltraWave Multiband Processor does sit on the edges of overdrive and tremolo territory, this is a tried-and-tested stompbox of far more advanced potential that grants multidimensional control via 'Multiband Processing' that carves the signal of any connected guitar, bass, or synthesizer up into multiple separate frequency bands. Each band is then treated via a set of independent parameters. In the case of the overdrive, since it's applied per frequency band, you get a lush and richly thick distortion that you simply couldn't get any other way. The same goes for the tremolo, where each band can be individually assigned different parameters to create a quality of tremolo that's never been heard before.

The Neuro Desktop Editor: Save & Share Presets with Ease

The accompanying Neuro Desktop Editor allows you to take full advantage of everything that the SA251 has to offer. Top stompbox voor mensen die op zoek zijn naar een sound design toolbox met oneindig veel mogelijkheden om je geluid te verrijken met distortion, compression, LFO, multiband EQ, tremolo ... Hiervoor open je de Neuro desktop editor, tweak je alles op je computer, en bewaar je de presets die oproepbaar zijn via de selector op de pedaal. Elke parameter kan bediend worden via midi, dus via Ableton, of een sequencer met envelopes,... en je kan dus deze modulaties perfect programmeren.
Ik gebruik hem achter een Machinedrum, met kick op input 1, en snare op input 2. De input/output kanalen kunnen onafhankelijk werken, of samengevoegd worden, wat heel flexibel is. Echt een top product voor de tweaker :-)
