DiMarzio's Ultra Jazz Bridge is a bass guitar element intended for the bridge position of a Jazz Bass. The pickups reproduce a broad spectrum of sounds. Deep lows, percussive and bright highs and mid frequencies sound round and clear. Flageolets jump off the strings. The element is very sensitive and you can create a lot of dynamics with your fingers or a pick.

Quiet

A well-known problem with single coil pickups is that a slight noise can be heard. With the DiMarzio DP148BK you won't have this problem. This is because the Ultra Jazz Bridge has two coils wound in opposite directions. Each coil picks up a set of two strings. This creates the noise-cancelling effect of a humbucker, but preserves the sound of single-coil Jazz Bass pickups.
