The DP549BK Ultra Jazz 5 Pair is similar in many ways to DiMarzio's Ultra Jazz set. The big difference is that these bass guitar pickups are meant for the five-string bass. Apart from the fact that the pickups are longer so that they can pick up the extra string, the five-string bass guitar has also been considered in terms of sound reproduction, so that even the low B string continues to sound clear and defined. By using the so-called 'Virtual Vintage' technology, no noise will be heard in these elements and the sound reproduction is tight and clear. The DP549BK Ultra Jazz 5 Pair was originally designed to be used in combination with passive electronics, but also sounds very good together with active onboard preamps.

The elements look like standard single coil elements, but work slightly differently inside.
