The Aguilar Tone Hammer Preamp is an indispensable tool for bassists. This versatile preamp adds warm, valve-style character to your bass sound and kits you out with everything you need to tweak to your sound to taste in detail, including dedicated mid level and mid frequency pots as well as classic bass and treble controls. The high-quality DI output even features a pre/post switch, and since Aquilar has thoughtfully mounted a ground-lift switch, you're always guaranteed clean signal transfer.

The Tone Hammer Preamp: Valve-Like Sound With Just the Right Amount of Gain

The Tone Hammer Preamp also features a drive section that can be fired up via one of the fitted footswitches. This enables you to add an extra gain structure and a valve-style EQ curve for increased saturation and enhanced dynamics. The more you turn up the gain, the tighter the bass frequencies will sound and the softer the high frequencies get, leaving you with extra-focussed mids. It's a great way to make your sound as rich and responsive as needed. You're also free to hook up your laptop, phone or tablet via the fitted mini-jack AUX input, or plug a pair of headphones into the headphone output with dedicated volume control.
