Bearing a unique four-octave range and finished with unusual elegance, the incredibly versatile Chromonica 64 has been both a fan and professional favourite for decades. This classic Hohner harmonica has been in existence since 1938 and while it's been tweaked and improved over the years, that immense 64-note range remains. The brass reeds are 1.05mm thick, while the chrome-plated mouthpiece combines with a set of rounded blow holes for unrivalled playing comfort, and the zigzag slide system noiselessly shifts the pitch up by a semitone. A fully adaptable chameleon of a harp.

Wrote the following about Hohner Chromonica 64 C Harmonica

Vlot geleverd. De mondharmonica werd geleverd in een doos van 43x31,5x9,5 cm. De -luxe-opbergdoos van de mondharmonica: 23x8,5x4 cm zat daar niet zorgvuldig verpakt in met onvoldoende luchtzakken om speling te voorkomen: hij was opengegaan en de harmonica eruit gevallen. Dat vind ik zacht uitgedrukt wat nonchalant om het zo te verpakken en te verzenden. De harmonicazelf ziet er onbeschadigd uit. Dus na enig slikken ga ik daarmee aan het werk. De kwaliteit wordt alom geprezen, dus daar hoef ik verder niets over te zeggen.

Prachtige harmonica met mooi warm geluid.
Het enige wat ik aan heb te merken is dat bij ontvangst dat de harmonica in de opbergdoos zat los met een elastiekje in een grote kartonnen doos zat zonder opvulmateriaal. Deze was niet beschadigd. Gelukkig had de bezorger er geen zware voorwerpen op gelegd.

Wrote the following about Hohner Chromonica 64 C Harmonica

Gekocht als cadeau voor mijn vader van 83 jaar. Eerder had ik hem een Hohner Chrometta 12 C gegeven. Die klinkt in de hogere tonen wat iel. Daar heeft deze Chromonica 64C geen last van. Mooi warm geluid en je kunt ook de hogere tonen met "zachte adem" maken. De 64C kost dan wel het dubbele van de 12C, maar de 64C is de hogere prijs meer dan waard.
De schuif laat zich soepel en snel bedienen. De ovale gaten zijn voor iemand die niet zo goed is als Toots Thielemans makkelijker te bespelen (sluiten met tong of lip) dan de rechthoekige gaten van veel andere harmonica's.
Het was even zoeken, maar ik heb de jarige deze keer echt blij kunnen maken!
