General

The YCL-255ES is a bass clarinet from Yamaha with an additional valve for E-flat. It is made of ABS plastic with a matt finish that resembles wood. The advantage of plastic is that you can also play outdoors, where humidity could adversely affect a wooden instrument. It is also comfortable to play because of its low weight and it has an adjustable thumb rest. The instrument is also easy to hold for players of a younger age. These features make it an ideal model to start with as a student. Furthermore, a case and a mouthpiece are of course included, so you can start playing right away!
