General

The Nextone Artist by BOSS is a versatile, 1x12, 80-watt amplifier with four iconic guitar sounds on board. It's perfect for the stage, the studio, the rehearsal room or even when you're just practising at home. There are clean and lead channels and the sounds of both can be customised using the potentiometers on the control panel. There's a tone button that gives your sound extra sparkle and a boost button that adds more crunch. One of the things that makes this amp so versatile is the selectable power amp circuits. The 6V6 and 6L6 settings give you classic American sounds, while the EL34 and EL88 positions give you vintage British sounds.

Nextone Artist: three power settings

A power control knob with three different settings means you can enjoy the same great power amp tube sounds at different volume levels thanks to the Tube Logic Tone technology. When you don't want or need the full 80 watts, you can attenuate it by half or reduce it to just 0.5 watts. That could still be too much if you're practising in the dead of night which is why there's also a headphone socket on board. No matter what time of day it is, you can always add the built-in delay, reverb and tremolo effects to the BOSS Nextone Artist's sound.

Customising sounds, external effects, pedals and mic emulations

If you wish there was a way to customise certain settings even more, you're in luck! Simply connect the Nextone Artist to a computer via USB and you can use the Nextone Editor software. If you want to use external effects, these can be connected to the amp via the mono FX loop. There's a stereo jack socket for connecting an external footswitch or an expression pedal and there's a mono jack socket for a GA-TC footswitch as well. Note that pedals are not included. You can record without using a microphone by connecting the amp to an audio interface via the line out and make use of speaker and microphone emulations with three Air Feel mic’d cab settings that can be selected from the Nextone Editor.
