Boss are proud to present the Nextone Special: an 80-watt strong combo amp decked out with a single 12" Waza Craft B12W speaker able to cover a really wide range of classic and authentic sounds. But the Nextone Special is not just about authentic tone, it's about the way it feels when you're playing over this amp, meaning it feels and responds differently depending on the kind of guitar you hook up. Also, thanks to the built-in attenuator, the power output can be dialled down all the way to 0.5 Watts so that you can even enjoy the full-bodied sound of this Boss guitar amplifier in your living room.

The Nextone Special: Modern Boutique Experience

Prior to designing the Nextone Special, Boss took a good look at the power amp of a number of legendary amplifiers from back in the day, to see what exactly gave them their unique and inspiring character. The modern boutique experience the Nextone Special offers as a result will help to create a special and inspiring bond between you and the amp, while the optimal reproduction of the unique nuances of every sound loaded into the unit comes from four independent, analogue AB power amps. That means you're free to select either the 6V6, 6L6, EL84 or EL34 setting for the tubes before fine-tuning your tone using the Nextone Editor - seamless collaboration with your guitar and style at its finest!

Waza Craft Technology

To be able to enjoy the wide range of sounds the Nextone Special can shape to the fullest, you need a remarkably good speaker. Knowing so, Boss have equipped the combo with a custom Waza Craft B12W, which was inspired by the Alnico Blue Bell driver. There's the option of hook up an additional speaker cab and, thanks to the various connection possibilities including an FX loop, line out, MIDI in and footswitch/expression pedal input, the amp can be effortlessly integrated into a live or studio set-up. To sum it all up: with the Nextone Special, Boss serve up a most satisfying and gratifying guitar playing experience for all true-blooded guitarists.
