Phil Jones Bass is already known for building ultra-compact bass amps but the Compact Plus BG-450 Bass Combo might be the most progressive touring solve yet. This mini-combo is home to no-less-than four 5 inch Piranha Chrome-Dome speakers that combine with a Class-D power amp section to deliver up to 450 Watts of power. What you're getting here is the ultimate space-saving combo that has the power to cut through the mix like a Swiss army knife through butter - or like an amplifier three times its size.

The Phil Jones Compact Plus BG-450: The Versatile Combo

Since the Class-D power amp has been teamed up with a Class-A preamp, you're guaranteed an enormous dynamic range that can be tweaked to back up every playing situation with nothing but outstanding bass sound. This amplifier also supports both passive and active basses - just toggle the mode accordingly via the mini-switch next to the input. Once jacked in, the detailed five-band EQ section supplies a detailed set of controls for dialling in your own bespoke tone.

All the Modern Perks

As thoughtful as ever, the Phil Jones Bass Compact Plus BG-450 Bass Combo also comes fitted with AUX input, so an external audio player can be hooked up and a set of headphones can be plugged in, setting you up with your own personal rehearsal tool. Around the back, you'll also find a direct output with both a pre/post EQ switch and a ground-lift switch and, so you can easily integrate any external effect pedals, an effects loop has also been provided complete with a bonus Dry/Wet control pot so you can set the balance as preferred.

I got the smaller model first, then thought go for it get the 450. Then I got the extension cab. When they say hi-fi quality sound, it's bang on. Rich and deep all from those tiny drivers. I've watched the story on the evolution of Phil Jones and his philosophy on small drivers. He was making and selling 1 million pound home speaker systems for Japanese elite. Then he began a project in China, a huge factory with research and the largest echo chamber on the planet. He is a real genius, from sound systems and reggae bands in Cardiff, to the maker of one of the real stand out items in modern bass amps. A very fluid market with many changes, class A/B and the talk of the end of amps. I'll always want to immerse myself in quality bass sound I get from my PJB 450

I bought this to replace a much heavier valve amp and I'm very happy with my choice. The amp has plenty of punch a really good 5 band EQ section and I particularly like the controls for setting the input gain. I also bought the extension cabinet. I play in a covers band with acoustic drums and this lightweight rig is good quality and plenty loud enough.

Ce n'est pas que ce soit un mauvais produit ce combo PJB, bien au contraire visuellement il est bien fini et corresponds en partie à mes attentes aussi bien sur ses dimensions et le poids réduit.
Par contre au vu du prix conséquent la puissance n'est pas au rdv et je cherche encore les 450W annoncés me laissant sur ma faim.

Concernant "Bax Music" la livraison à été rapide donnant presque envie d'y revenir et ce serait un vrai confort si à chaque visite du site on me donnais la facilité en un seul clic de souris de pouvoir décliner vos cookies car dans l'état je vous fuis régulièrement préférant aller naviguer sur d'autres sites moins contraignants.
