Specifically calibrated to capture the full, natural range of a woodwind instrument, this professional pack includes an MC 5 clip, an MCM 100 XLR module and a gooseneck-mounted KK 14 microphone capsule. Neatly secured to bell of the clarinet, oboe, or flute, the microphone can be freely adjusted for the optimum position, keeping it out of the way to ensure unhindered performance. The microphone can then be coupled with a wireless system to support maximum freedom of movement, and comes including an AC 31 mini-jack cable for compatibility with various wireless systems including Sennheiser models. Other cables are also available (not included) for integration with other systems, or the included MCM 100 XLR module can be used to connect the microphone up to the standard microphone input of a mixer or audio interface.

With the KK 14 capsule, acclaimed microphone developers, Neumann provide musicians with a reliable, close-range tool that's able to capture the sound of their instrument with natural and convincing quality. The KK 14 capsule features an enormous dynamic range, making it more than capable of handling any orchestral instrument. Even when miking up relatively quiet instruments like the harp, the noise floor is barely detectable. This capsule can even be applied to incredibly loud instruments like the trumpet or snare drum, and when connected via the MCM 100 module, it's able to withstand considerable sound pressure levels of up to 153dB without a hint of distortion.
