General
The Marine Band really hardly needs an introduction, as this is one of the most well-known harmonica series. Hohner has produced many variants of this classic, with something for everyone. Similarly, the Crossover has a unique feature. Namely, the comb is made of bamboo, giving it a bright sound that is very suitable for blues. Although the harmonica is originally a bamboo instrument from China, nowadays it is usually made of other materials. The Crossover's 20 notes are tuned in Ab major.
Compact and comfortable
While the comb of the Crossover is distinctive, the instrument otherwise has the same features as the original Marine Band. The Marine Band is characterised by the simplicity and reliability of its design. The brass tongues give a quick response at all volumes and the mouthpiece also gives great playing comfort due to a special lacquer coating. The decorated covers are made of stainless steel and give the Crossover a classic look. Because the parts are held together tightly with several screws, the instrument is airtight. The included box keeps your harmonica free of dust and protects it from damage when you take it with you or store it.
