The MGX16 is a 22-channel digital mixer with 16 faders from Yamaha's new MGX series. This latest generation of digital mixers offers everything you need in a compact housing. For instance, it has 8 microphone/line inputs with XLR/jack combination connectors. These all feature microphone preamplifiers. Four stereo channels, two with jack and two with RCA inputs let you connect keyboards, drum computers or other devices. So plenty of channels, allowing you to provide great sound to even somewhat larger bands. It has four headphone jacks, which is ideal for podcasts or radio, for example, or when you are practising with the band.

Digital effects and multi-track recording

The MGX16 has a 4.3-inch touchscreen, which can be used to control digital functions such as effects, for example. The DSP features a wide selection of effects such as: compressor, a 4-band parametric EQ, reverb, delay and gate. Even a Pitch Fix for vocals and a guitar amp simulator are provided. USB connections allow you to record directly to your computer, stereo or multitrack up to 22 channels. In cases where you don't have your computer at hand, you can also record to an SD card, up to 16 channels. So you can post-mix your performance later. Thanks to a Bluetooth 5.0 connection, you can play music wirelessly.
