General

The Yamaha CLP-565GPWH is a bright-eyed baby grand beauty! This digital piano from the Clavinova series features a Polished White finish, along with the result of years of experience in product development and technology. Such experience provided the advanced Graded Hammer 3X keyboard with an unbelievable playing feel that is just like that of an acoustic grand piano. The keyboard features Escapement, which emulates the 'click' of a rebounding hammer that you experience when playing a key on an acoustic piano. Furthermore, the keys feature synthetic ivory tops for added playing comfort and grip.

Clavinova CLP-565GPWH: technology

You'll find an advanced sound source under the hood of this excellent instrument. The polyphony is 256 voices - more than many modern synthesizers offer - which means you'll never have to deal with note stealing, no matter how intensely you play. Additionally, this Clavinova offers 34 sounds, along with a 16-track recorder for recording up to 250 songs. Furthermore, your playing will be clearly reproduced via four speakers with 2x 35W amplification. This specially designed sound system with Acoustic Optimizer en Intelligent Acoustic Control allows the piano sound to reflect in the piano lid, which you can have open or closed.

Yamaha CFX and Bosendorfer Imperial: world-class sounds

A good piano sound inspires, and it can be the decisive factor in the emotion someone gets when listening to you play. That's why this digital piano contains samples from two absolute top instruments. From their own brand, Yamaha has sampled the CFX - the best concert grand the brand has to offer. Along with that, you also have the sound of the majestic Bosendorfer Imperial - an enormous concert grand with a totally different character than that of the CFX. Both instruments were tuned to perfection when samples were taken of every key, for a sublime realism and a lively sound. If you know the price of these incredible grand pianos, then you know that this Clavinova is worth its weight in gold.

Yamaha CLP-565GPWH Digital Piano Polished White

Wrote the following about Yamaha CLP-565GPWH Digital Piano Polished White
VERY PLEASED INDEED, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

After looking at digital grand pianos by Roland, Kawaii, Kurzweil, Casio, Classenti and Broadway, among others, as well as Yamaha, I settled on this above all of them. All the others were variously unavailable, too expensive, too big (150-180cm deep), or too toy-like (86-88cm deep) - this is 115cm. Add to this, Yamaha's reputation for touch, sound, build and reliability, and the decision was easy. Yamaha's popularity also means that their products have higher resale value, if that concerns you.

The string resonance and damper resonance are impressive, and with the sampling from the CFX, Yamaha's £100,000 flagship concert grand, plus the Bösendorfer concert grand voice, and the ways in which you can tweak the touch and brilliance, I am very pleased with it. There are masses of other features, and the little, inconspicuous display has a wealth of embedded functions within it.

The piano was delivered boxed on a disposable pallet so you need to arrange the unpacking and installation yourself. It is heavy, some 100kg/220lb/15st10lb, so you need 3 people for this. There were other providers who would deliver the piano fully assembled, but they charged a few hundred pounds more. They would have taken longer too, about a month, whereas I received this piano from Bax within a week! I chose the package deal, so a matching piano bench arrived with it for half price, which I am also very happy with!
