Korg Poetry Magnifique digital piano

Amid the many digital pianos you can get these days, the Korg Poetry Magnifique is still something special. For two reasons. Firstly, the looks, this Poetry really has something very classic about it with this beautiful brown wood. In a brown café, a church, or any other environment that has predominantly wooden furnishings, this piano would look very nice in it. The second reason is the sound. Many digital pianos base their pianos on the big brands you find in concert halls, we can probably all name some big names. The sound of the Poetry is that of an 1843 Pleyel piano, and that has been a favourite of composers like Debussy and Chopin, because of its soft and delicate sound. The latter is also the person to whom Korg dedicates this piano.

Features of the Korg Poetry Magnifique

While that Pleyel is a very atmospheric sound, it is not the only sound. It also includes a beautiful Italian concert grand piano, as well as some other sounds you often see on digital pianos, such as E.Pianos, harpsichord, organs, choir and strings. There are thirty sounds in total (three banks of ten). Optionally, you can record two parts with the built-in recorder, and with the polyphony of 120, you're not going to experience any truncated notes otherwise - unless you lie down on the keyboard keys, but then again... who does that... All in all, this Poetry is above all piano that is as unique as it is chic. If you have a nice wooden venue, the foyer of a swanky hotel perhaps, this is going to look really nice there!

• Note: The original Pleyel had 80 keys. To keep everything realistic, the Pleyel sounds in the Poetry also have 80 working keyboard keys. So the fact that not all 88 keys make sound is intentional - and this only applies to the Pleyel sounds.
