Stevige microfoon, weinig contact geluid en geweldige feedback reductie. Dat je daardoor iets rechter in de microfoon moet zingen/spreken is niet echt een minpunt. Ik kan nu voor mijn monitor boxen staan en instrumenten mixen tegelijk met mijn stem, zonder dat ik de hele dag met koptelefoon op sta in te spelen en uit te proberen. Bij opname neem ik sporen nog wel vaak afzonderlijk op (met koptelefoon op bij zang) en dan doet de PL 80c niet onder voor andere bekende microfoons in deze prijsklasse. Het is mijn tweede Electro-Voice en ik begin echt fan te worden van het merk, doordat ze hun ontwerpen net iets bruikbaarder maken voor specifieke inzet (bijv. feedback reductie), maar een goede balans houden met waar het in hoofdzaak om gaat, het op te nemen geluid goed omzetten voor opname of versterking.
