The E 945 by Sennheiser is a professional dynamic microphone, specifically designed for vocals. This microphone has a super-cardioid pickup pattern, making it insensitive to feedback and ambient sounds. Ideal for use on stage and fit for heavy-duty work. Your voice sounds detailed, full and natural when used at a short distance. In short: this is an ideal microphone for most situations.
The properties of the E 945
This microphone is insensitive to feedback and ambient and handling noise, thanks to an advanced built-in shockmount system. The full, natural sound of the microphone cuts through the mix nicely, which is handy for sound technicians.

I'm extremely happy with my new Sennheiser e945 microphone. It has a very warm, clear and natural sound with a smooth midrange and excellent high-end clarity. It makes singing a pleasure, not a chore, but it's also particularly good for speech if used properly, i.e. at close range. I have other good professional-standard microphones from EV (N/D 967 and 787A) and Shure (Beta 57) and this compares very favourably indeed with them. Especially, it completely and totally blows away the ancient Shure SM58, which by comparison sounds as if there's a blanket over it. I recommend this microphone most highly.
