The IK Multimedia T-RackS White 2A Levelling Amplifier is a simulation (a virtual form) of the UREI 1176. And that was a tube box, so engineers praise the UREI for its warm sound character. This kind of device costs a fortune, and then there is some periodic maintenance involved (because it is an old device), so for several reasons the virtual version is a more reliable alternative. Of course, it does not affect the fact that the Urei does look very cool in your studio, but it is simply not feasible for everyone. Its sound is good, and for this money it is a wonderful addition to your virtual studio.
