General

A de-esser is one of the standard tools an engineer has on hand to improve vocal recordings. XILS Lab XILS Dees is such a tool; a very good and easy one. The incoming audio signal is split into a body and the sizzle sound, i.e. each its own track. A separate equaliser is present for both tracks, so you can add nuance as you wish. The nice thing is that these equalisers have a distinctly analogue character, without latency. In short, which De-esser do you want? Dees!
