There are 'regular' loopers, and then there is the SOMA Cosmos ambient looper.... This device continuously stacks and processes sounds in a way that never repeats: not a rigidly recurring pattern, but a living soundscape that keeps evolving itself. As a basis, SOMA gives you an internal memory of 44.7 seconds, in which recorded sounds shift mathematically based on prime numbers, an asynchronous LFO and a slowly changing 'random' signal. Perfect for ambient and meditation music or any context where you want a sound to develop organically. And all while maintaining an accessible interface, without patch buttons or numerous submenus. Sound-making doesn't constantly require a manual!

Four algorithms, high-quality technology

With the Cosmos, you get a unique device with a hip, blue colour that weaves several types of effects together into one big whole: several delays, a giant reverb that simulates a huge room, and an asynchronous granular stereo delay. Each with three variations in delay length. Do you switch algorithms (effects) during a performance? Then the memory content just goes with it and is processed neatly in the output. Those who prefer to work rhythmically can load an alternative firmware more suitable for use as a traditional looper with a usb stick. Under the bonnet are Cirrus Logic AD/DA converters and Burr-Brown operational amplifiers: quality sound processors with 48 kHz/24-bit resolution and 32-bit floating point processing. The built-in limiter prevents harsh digital clipping and makes overdriving sound more like subtle tape saturator. In short, the SOMA Cosmos is an ambient looper that forces you to let go and will keep surprising you!
