The Sadowsky Blue Label Bass String Set Stainless Steel Taperwound 40-125 set contains 5 strings for electric bass guitar. You cannot use them for string through body mounting, they are only suitable for basses with a top loader bridge. The strings have a hexagonal core with stainless steel windings around it. This provides a very clear sound with sharp highs and a tight midrange, ideal for slapping and fast rock and funk. The windings of the B string (the lowest and thickest) are thinner where the string meets the bridge (taperwound). This allows it to vibrate better (and thus produce more sound) and it is also not too high compared to the other strings.

These strings are not suitable for basses where the strings run through the body (string through body).
