The Sadowsky Blue Label Bass String Set Stainless Steel Flatwound Taperwound 45-130 is a string set for 5-string electric bass guitar. The strings have a hexagonal core with stainless steel flatwound windings around it. This makes the surface very smooth, which you feel while playing. You also hear much less disturbing noises when your fingers glide over the strings. The lowest and thickest string - the B - is taperwound, the winding is thinner where the string touches the bridge, so it has more room to vibrate and therefore sounds better. The action doesn't get too high that way either. You can only use these strings on a bass with a top loader bridge, they are not suitable for string through body mounting.

These strings are not suitable for basses where the strings run through the body (string through body).
