This Sadowsky Blue Label Bass String Set Stainless Steel Taperwound XL 45-130 string set is suitable for 5-string electric bass guitar with an extra-long scale. The strings have a hexagonal core wire with stainless steel windings and sound very bright with plenty of highs and mids. The B string is taperwound, meaning it is slightly thinner where it crosses the bridge. This allows it to vibrate better, which improves the sound, and it is also not too high, which in turn guarantees higher playing comfort. These strings are not suitable for string-through-body mounting.
