The Sadowsky Silver Label Bass String Set Nickel Taperwound XL 45-130 set is suitable for 5-string electric bass guitars with a longer scale (extra long scale). The strings have nickel windings around a hexagonal core and sound very warm, with a rich midrange and round, less sharp highs. They are perfect for bassists looking for a dynamic sound with lots of depth and organic volume. The taperwound B string also contributes to this, it is slightly thinner at the bridge so that it is on par with the other (thinner) strings. It can also vibrate better which provides more resonance and better intonation. Beware though, these strings are not suitable for string through body mounting, you can use them with toploader bridges.

These strings are not suitable for basses where the strings run through the body (string through body).
