General
The Toshiya TT Black is a 5-string bass guitar for bassists seeking a powerful, modern sound without compromising on playing comfort. The swamp ash body and three-piece hard maple neck ensure a direct response, good sustain and a stable playing experience. Thanks to the 889 mm Super Long scale length, the low notes in particular remain tight and controlled. The 24-fret rosewood fingerboard and the U-shaped neck profile also offer plenty of room for heavy riffs and melodic bass lines. The black finish complements the distinctive look of Toshiya from DIR EN GREY beautifully.
Toshiya TT: power in the low end
In terms of tone, the Toshiya TT features two Seymour Duncan SSB-5 humbuckers: an SSB-5n in the neck position and an SSB-5b at the bridge. This combination delivers a powerful and defined sound that holds its own even in a full band mix. With the active 3-band EQ and master volume, you can adjust the sound directly on the bass to your liking. The GOTOH GB707E tuning machines and GOTOH J510SJ-5 bridge ensure reliable tuning and solid string action. This makes this 5-string bass suitable for both studio and live performances.
