If you're ready to take on a five-string bass or you're an ambitious beginner seeking more of a challenge, then the P-style Fazley Sunset Series Piranha five-string offers the extended range of an extra low-B for an ultra-low price. Even in standard tuning, the extra low-B string means that this bass can go another five semitones lower, expanding the note range and pushing up the potential. Meanwhile, the comfortably lightweight basswood body has been given a tasteful high-gloss paint job and fitted with an extra-stable bolt-on roasted maple neck with a satin-gloss finish and a modern-C profile, supporting a smooth and fast feel all the way up to the highest of the twenty-one medium-jumbo frets. The full and warm core sound of this bass is enhanced by the mid-range accent and lightly pronounced trebles added by the high-grade Graph Tech TUSQ nut, giving the amplified tone of the mounted split-coil pickup some satisfying balance and bite. As a generous bonus, this five-string bass comes complete with a form-fitting gig bag.

Was looking for a Precision type bass in a certain colour and the Fazley fitted the bill. At the price was worth a shot and received in kess than 48 hours. Remarkable value for money, plays and sounds really well at a cost of at least half of what you would expect for a 5 string bass.Very pleased and coupled with another purchase got free shipping. Amazing!

Alhoewel ik maar 2 sterren geef, ben ik eigenlijk nog wel tevreden over deze bas nadat ik wat aanpassingen maakte.
De pickups vond ik echt wel behoorlijk slecht. Ze zaten niet mooi recht onder de snaren en vooral de hoogste en laagste snaar kwamen niet voldoende luid door. Ze gaven ook veel ruis/storing als je geen contact maakte met de snaren. Na enkele dagen gaven de onderste magneten zelfs niks meer door. De G-snaar was nog amper te horen.
Ik ben op zoek gegaan naar vervangende pickups, maar heb enkel een goed alternatief gevonden via een concurrerende muziekwinkel. De pickups heb ik vervangen door Sadowsky pickups (€68). Die hadden niet dezelfde afmetingen en daarom moest ik ook een nieuwe slagplaat maken (mintgreen €10, concurrerende muziekwinkel). De nieuwe slagplaat maakt de gitaar voor mij ook véél mooier.
De E-snaar had ook niet voldoende 'hoek' naar de gitaarkop en spande dus niet voldoende op de nekkam. Op BAX vond ik deze keer wel een snaargeleider (€1,85) om het probleem op te lossen. Bij Fender gekeken hoe zij het doen. Zij gebruiken dus twee snaargeleiders. Eén voor de E en A snaar, en één voor de D en G snaar. Op die manier de Fazley aangepast. Probleem opgelost.
De verdere bouw van de bas vind ik wel heel goed qua body, hals, frets, tuners,
