Guild drop the Newark St. Collection Starfire I Bass: a modern, accessible and flexible hollowbody bass that packs iconic looks, a thin mahogany body and a short 30.75" scale length. Cut out for younger students as well as more experienced musicians who want more freedom to move around on stage, the Starfire I has been loaded with a BC-1 BiCoil pickup and a push/pull volume control so you can pull out a wide range of eclectic sounds - both modern and vintage. To guarantee great tuning stability and a stylish edge, this semi-acoustic bass has been finished with a Guild Bass Tune-O-Matic bridge and a matching Harp tailpiece.

Na een aantal andere hollow body's geprobeerd te hebben met deze de winkel uitgelopen (na afrekenen!). Dunne en smalle hals die heel prettig aanvoelt, alle noten zijn goed in balans, ook als je onversterkt speelt en de bas blijft opvallend goed op stemming. De hollow body en het P-bass element geven de bas een brutaal karakter. Aanrader!
