General

The Schecter Charles Berthoud CB-6 is the signature model of the renowned bassist Charles Berthoud, who is best known for his impressive two-handed tapping technique. This 6-string bass guitar combines an ash body with a flamed maple top and a walnut/padauk neck. The neck-through construction with Ultra Access ensures easy access to the higher frets. With a 35-inch scale length, 24 jumbo frets and a 54 mm-wide nut, this bass also offers a generous playing surface for technical and expressive bass playing.

EMG pickups and active tone control

For a powerful and versatile sound, the CB-6 is fitted with two EMG 35HZ humbuckers, one at the bridge and one at the neck. The electronics comprise a master volume control, a blend control and an EMG 3-band B64 EQ. This allows you to fine-tune the tone for different playing styles and musical applications. The Schecter Diamond Custom Bass bridge ensures solid string anchorage, whilst the Grover tuners contribute to reliable tuning. The black hardware provides a stylish contrast to the bass’s Natural Satin finish.

Range for modern bassists

Thanks to its six strings, the CB-6 offers an extensive tonal range, whilst the 35-inch scale length ensures tight string tension. The bass is fitted with D’Addario Bass Nickel Wound Long Scale NYXL32130 strings in .032–.130 gauge. The included accessories do not include a case; the matching SCSGR-6B is sold separately. With its combination of modern construction, active electronics and two EMG pickups, the Charles Berthoud CB-6 is an interesting choice for bassists seeking plenty of playing freedom and tonal possibilities.

Bax Music Warranty This product comes with a 3-year warranty.
