The Sire Marcus Miller V7+ A5 Burgundy Mist is Sire’s flagship bass guitar and was developed in collaboration with Marcus Miller. This 5-string J-model bass combines a classic look with modern playability and an exceptionally versatile tonal palette. Thanks to its North American alder body, it delivers a full, powerful bass response with clear mid-range tones and a tight low end. The satin-finished hard maple neck with rounded fret edges ensures a comfortable playing experience during long rehearsals, gigs and studio sessions.

High-quality construction and playing comfort

The combination of a hard maple neck and an ebony fingerboard gives the V7+ A5 a direct attack, plenty of definition and excellent sustain. The Edgeless™ rolled fretboard edges provide a smooth feel, as if the bass has been played in for years. The natural maple nut contributes to stable tuning and clear tone transmission. In addition, this bass features a Marcus Miller Modern S bridge with a string-through-body construction for extra sustain and tight string tension. The premium open-gear tuning machines and chrome-plated hardware round off the high-quality overall package.

Versatile electronics for every style

The Marcus Super-J Revolution single-coil pickups deliver authentic vintage J-bass tones with extra definition and dynamics. Combined with the Marcus Heritage-3 preamp, you have access to a comprehensive 3-band EQ with adjustable mid-frequency, allowing you to easily fine-tune your ideal sound. Thanks to the active/passive switch, the bass remains fully functional even without active electronics, whilst volume, tone control and pickup balance remain active. As a result, the V7+ A5 is just as at home with funk, jazz and pop as it is with rock, fusion and modern genres.
