The Sire Marcus Miller V7 SR5 Transparent Green Satin is a modern 5-string electric bass guitar that combines the classic character of a vintage jazz bass with contemporary performance. This reissue brings back a much-loved model that had been temporarily out of production due to the limited availability of swamp ash. The body is crafted from swamp ash with a beautiful poplar burl veneer, giving the bass not only a resonant, open tone but also a luxurious appearance. The Transparent Green Satin finish highlights the wood grain and makes this V7 SR5 a real eye-catcher on stage.

Versatile active electronics

The Marcus Super-J Revolution pickup set is based on classic 1960s pickup spacing and uses USA plain enamel winding wire for a clear, detailed tone. Combined with the Marcus Heritage-3 preamp, you have access to a comprehensive 3-band EQ with mid-frequency control. You can also switch between active and passive modes, allowing this bass to adapt effortlessly to a wide range of musical styles. With controls for volume, tone, blend, treble, mid-range and bass, you can easily craft your desired sound.

Playing comfort and reliable hardware

The hard maple neck with a comfortable C-profile features a maple fingerboard with rounded fret edges for a smooth playing feel. Thanks to the 34-inch scale length, 20 medium frets and a 46 mm-wide bone nut, this bass offers excellent control over all five strings. The Marcus Heavy Mass II bridge contributes to powerful sustain and precise intonation, whilst the premium open-gear tuning machines and chrome-plated hardware ensure stable tuning.
