General
The Dime Guitarz Culprit Blackjack has been designed as a tribute to the iconic design created by Dimebag Darrell in 1998. This electric guitar takes the shape, appearance and playing experience of the original USA Custom Shop model as its starting point, whilst making it accessible to a wider audience. Thanks to its set-neck construction, a mahogany body with a flame maple top and a three-piece maple neck, the Culprit delivers powerful sustain, excellent resonance and a comfortable playing experience. The guitar comes complete with a padded gig bag, so you can transport it safely straight away to rehearsals, the studio or the stage.
Powerful Dimebag sound
To achieve the signature Dimebag sound, the Culprit is fitted with two Seymour Duncan humbuckers. In the bridge position, you’ll find the SH-13 Dimebucker for aggressive output, tight bass and pronounced harmonics, whilst the SH-1n ’59 in the neck position delivers warm solos and full-bodied cleans. Both volume controls feature a push/pull function for coil splitting, giving you access to additional tone variations. The master tone control also has a push/pull function that activates the integrated DimeBooster, delivering up to 15 dB of extra gain. This rechargeable boost operates without a 9V battery and is easily charged via USB-C.
Ready for the stage
In terms of hardware, too, the Culprit is fully equipped for intensive use. The Floyd Rose 1000 Series double-locking tremolo offers maximum tuning stability, even with extreme tremolo use. Grover-style locking tuners further contribute to stable tuning and quick string changes. The ebony fingerboard with a compound radius of 12 to 16 inches feels comfortable for both chords and fast solos. The stainless steel medium jumbo frets ensure a long service life, whilst the striking Diamond Plate inlays featuring Dime’s Razorblade on the twelfth fret give the guitar a unique look.
