General
The Alexi Katakana is an electric guitar for guitarists seeking speed, sustain and a distinctive metal look. The distinctive Arrow Head body, crafted from alder, is joined to a three-piece hard maple neck via a neck-thru construction, ensuring a direct response and long sustain. The slim U-shaped profile sits comfortably in the hand during fast riffs and solos. The ebony fingerboard features 24 frets, with the top five scalloped for extra freedom when bending strings and using vibrato. The black finish with a yellow pinstripe and Saw Tooth inlays gives the guitar a distinctive look.
Alexi Katakana: built for pure metal
The Katakana is fitted with an EMG FH2 humbucker in the bridge position and an MM-04 boost circuit for a powerful, aggressive tone. The Floyd Rose FRT-3000 tremolo and locking nut offer great stability during deep dives and expressive tremolo effects, whilst the GOTOH SG360-07 tuning machines ensure reliable tuning. Thanks to the single volume control, operation remains simple and direct. This makes the Alexi Katakana ideally suited to heavy riffs, fast solos and melodic metal.
