General

The Schecter DJ Ashba is the signature model of guitarist DJ Ashba, known for his work with Sixx:A.M., Guns N’ Roses and his work as a songwriter for Mötley Crüe. This electric guitar combines an alder body with a bolt-on maple neck and an ebony fingerboard. The Carbon Grey finish with custom graphics gives the instrument a distinctive, modern look. With a 25.5-inch scale length, Thin C neck profile and 22 X-Jumbo frets, the DJ Ashba is designed for fast and comfortable playing. The 41.3 mm wide nut and 14-inch fingerboard radius also make the guitar suitable for a wide range of playing techniques.

EMG 81 and Sustainiac

The electronics are a key part of this signature guitar’s character. An active EMG 81 humbucker is fitted in the bridge position, delivering a powerful and defined tone that really comes into its own with heavy riffs and leads. A Sustainiac system is fitted at the neck. Using the separate Sustainiac switches, you can switch the sustain effect on and off and choose between Fundamental, Mix and Harmonic modes. The controls also include a volume knob and a 3-way pickup selector switch. This means the DJ Ashba offers plenty of possibilities for both rhythm playing and expressive solos.

Floyd Rose 1500 tremolo

For expressive tremolo playing, the DJ Ashba is fitted with a Floyd Rose 1500 Series double-locking tremolo system. This allows you to perform deep dive bombs and other extreme tremolo effects whilst maintaining stable tuning. The Grover Rotomatic 18:1 tuners also ensure precise tuning. The guitar features black hardware and ‘Birds on a Wire’ inlays, whilst the Carbon Grey finish completes its signature look. The included strings are D’Addario Regular Light NYXL 1046 with a gauge of .010–.046. The matching SCSGR-1C case is not included and is available separately.
