General
The Schecter DJ Ashba is the signature model of guitarist DJ Ashba, known for his work with Sixx:A.M., Guns N’ Roses and as a songwriter for Mötley Crüe. This model features an alder body, a bolt-on maple neck and an ebony fingerboard. The Satin White finish with Custom Graphic gives it a striking look, whilst the Thin C neck and 22 X-Jumbo frets are designed for comfortable and fast playing. Thanks to the 25.5-inch scale length and 41.3 mm wide nut, this guitar feels familiar for a wide range of playing styles. The DJ Ashba combines a distinctive look with a comprehensive feature set for modern rock and metal guitarists.
EMG 81 and Sustainiac
The DJ Ashba’s electronics are designed for powerful riffs and sustained, expressive solos. The bridge position features an active EMG 81 humbucker that delivers a tight, aggressive and defined tone. The neck position features a Sustainiac system that allows you to sustain notes for an exceptionally long time. Using the separate Sustainiac switches, you can switch the system on and off and choose between Fundamental, Mix and Harmonic modes. The controls also include a volume control and a 3-way pickup selector switch. This allows you to easily adjust the tone and sustain to suit your playing style and the music.
Floyd Rose 1500 Series
For extensive tremolo playing, the Schecter DJ Ashba is fitted with a Floyd Rose 1500 Series double-locking tremolo system. This enables deep dive bombs and other extreme tremolo effects, whilst the locking mechanism helps to keep the tuning stable. The Grover Rotomatic 18:1 tuners also offer precise tuning control. The black hardware provides a stylish contrast to the Satin White finish. The guitar comes fitted with D’Addario Regular Light NYXL 1046 strings with a gauge of .010–.046. The matching SCSGR-1C case is not included and is sold separately.
