The Slick Guitars SL60 brings the much-loved doublecut in a new look, with a depth that hits you right away. The basis lies in carefully chosen materials: solid swamp ash for the body, Canadian maple for the neck and a fingerboard of Indian rosewood. This combination provides the foundation for a sound that is both full and resonant. The thin finish, applied by hand, immediately gives the guitar the feel of an instrument that has lasted for years. A guitar that invites you to play and brings every nuance of your playing to life.

SL60: Robust hardware

Don't let the accessible price fool you; this guitar was designed with serious intent by Earl Slick in his New York studio. Every detail contributes to its quality. The solid brass wraparound bridge and matching volume knob, both unfinished, add a raw, pure sound. The tuning machines too, with a bronze crown and pinion wheel and solid brass knobs, ensure accurate and stable tuning, allowing you to keep playing uninterrupted. A graphite nut and specially designed headstock ensure proper string tension and tuning stability, fitted with D'Addario strings straight out of the box.

But where the SL60 really makes a difference are the manually aged "Slick Junior" Alnico V pickups. These single-coil pickups deliver a distinctive sound with just the right dose of rawness. The neck and bridge elements are tuned to provide noise reduction in the middle position. The elements are not only technically sophisticated, but also magnetically and cosmetically aged, making them sound and feel like pickups from days gone by. The guitar's unique breathable finish, with no fillers or thick coats of lacquer, allows the wood to fully resonate, resulting in a louder, fuller sound.
