General

The JP157D is the 7-string version of the well-known JP150; one of John Petrucci's signature models. The Dream Theater guitarist has opted for quite a few upgrades. For instance, the 'D' in the type number refers to the DiMarzio Crunch Lab/LiquiFire element set. These are the same pickups that Petrucci has been using for years, so you can count on a wide range of high-quality progressive metal tones. Of course, don't miss the 12dB volume boost, which lets you pierce through the mix with ease. Comes complete with a deluxe gig bag.

JP157DQM: pure class

The 'QM' stands for quilted maple. This is the eye-catching top of quilted maple on the mahogany body. The roasted maple neck also contributes to the particularly chic look of this modern electric guitar. Of course, ease of playing cannot be left behind. That's why the JP157 features a dark ebony fingerboard with 24 medium jumbo stainless steel frets and a flat 16-inch fingerboard radius. Thanks to the modern 2-point tremolo, you can add all kinds of vibrato effects to your playing without the guitar detuning quickly.
