The electric guitars in Yamaha's popular Pacifica Series are greeted by a fresh newcomer: the 112VM. Its maple fretboard glued onto a maple neck shapes a foundation sound with more than enough 'spank'; similar to that of alder. In addition, Yamaha have opted for a refreshing finish to match the lighter look of the fretboard, giving you an affordable solid-body guitar with various modern features and a reliable feel. Meanwhile, a contemporary and comfortable playing experience is ensured by a flatter, 13.75-inch fretboard radius.

The Pacifica 112VM: A Broad Palette of Rich, Bright Alnico V Sounds

When you plug in this Yamaha guitar, the three pickups and 5-way pickup switch give you a broad palette of guitar sounds to choose from. The mid and neck single-coils summon typical Alnico V tones while the humbucker at the bridge offers a fatter, Alnico sound. This dual-coil pickup comes with a push-pull tone pot to tap into even more single-coil-style sounds while any kind of amplification of the 112VM Pacifica is guaranteed to have a subtle mid-scoop to bring out the sparkle of the maple used in its construction.
