The Yamaha Pacifica 311H looks tough, plays great and is incredibly versatile, making it an excellent example of the innovation and quality that makes Yamaha's custom shop guitars so popular. The 311H is equipped with special voiced pickups including coil-tap, first-class hardware and a solid alder body for a solid sound. It has essentially the same specifications as the Pacifica 611H but for a price that's more accessible to everyone. This guitar is available in black, vintage, white, metallic red and this matte natural edition. Experience the looks, sound and feel of a custom shop Yamaha guitar with this affordable Pacifica 311H YNS.
Yamaha Pacifica 311H: versatility
The pickups on the Pacifica 311H consist of a single-coil at the neck and a humbucker in the bridge position. These Alnico V pickups produce a vintage sound with outstanding definition and dynamics. The sparkle and bite of the P90 is ideal for the clean and edgy riffs you hear in blues and rock. With the powerful, full humbucker sound you can really get to work making the rougher music you hear in classic rock and modern hard rock. The tone knob of the Pacifica 311H also functions as a push/pull switch that you can use to split the humbucker to a bright-sounding single-coil. Furthermore, this guitar is equipped with a string-through-body fixed bridge, high-quality Grover locking tuners and a slim maple neck with a flat 22-fret rosewood fretboard for better shred and bend work.
The reliable Pacifica family
The Pacifica models are some of the world's most popular guitars. They were introduced in 1990, and thanks to Yamaha's relentless pursuit of quality, they won a large variety of awards and international prizes. And it wasn't all for nothing. Because of their uncompromising quality, each and every one of these affordable electric guitars has great performance. At the end of 2011 four new models were released: the 611HFM, 510V, 120H and this 311H. Thanks to their innovative hardware and pickup configurations they once again meet the conditions of the modern guitarist.

P90 is amazingly full and crisp.Perfect for blues.
Tuners are nice to use and tone is warm and vibrant.Only 4 stars because it needs a bit of set up out of the box,as in adjusting individual string height and sanding downedges of the frets.Beautiful looking guitar,will motivate you to keep picking it up.

Niet zo lang geleden besloot ik om een Yamaha Pacifica 311 te gaan kopen. Met enig geluk zag ik een net afgeprijsd B-stock gitaar bij BAX en die heb ik laten afleveren bij de voor mij dichtstbijzijnde vestiging om hem eens uit te proberen. Estetisch verkeerde de gitaar in topconditie maar de vorige eigenaar zal een reden gehad hebben waarom hij hem teruggestuurd/gebracht heeft. Tijdens het uittesten kwam ik er op een bepaald moment achter dat de intonatie/tuning van de dikke E-snaar af fabriek niet helemaal zuiver was (met name merkbaar toen ik een capo ging gebruiken). Een kort bezoekje aan de technische helpdesk wist dit manco in no-time te verhelpen waarmee ik dus 1 van de vele enthousiaste en gelukkige gebruikers ben geworden van deze uitermate veelzijdige gitaar voor een vriendenprijsje. B-stock modellen zijn mijn inziens zeker het overwegen waard; ze doen niet onder voor een gloed nieuwe al is het aan te bevelen om het instrument eerst even goed uit te testen in de winkel zelf. Laat niet alleen jouw ogen werken maar gebruik ook jouw oren om er zeker van te zijn dat jouw nieuwe instrument helemaal gaat voldoen aan jouw verwachtingen. En test ook gelijk even uit of alle schakelaars functioneren (zonder piepen of kraken). Bij twijfel of alles klopt gewoon even het winkelpersoneel vragen wat zij ervan vinden. Als ook zij dan van mening zijn dat er "iets" niet klopt wordt je als vanzelf doorverwezen naar de juiste persoon om jouw "probleem" te helpen oplossen.

Prima working man's guitar voor klassieke rock en blues. Buitengewoon stabiel en stemmingsvast, goede sustain en articulatie. De P90 in de hals is gewoon errug lekker, en in combinatie met de splitsbare humbucker heb je alles van donkerbruin tot felle twang in één podiumbestendig instrument bij elkaar.
