General

With the Takamine GD11MCE-NS acoustic-electric guitar starter set, you’ll be ready for home, the studio and the stage all at once. This dreadnought-style acoustic-electric guitar is made entirely of mahogany, which produces a warm, rich tone that remains pleasantly rounded without becoming too sharp. Thanks to the built-in TP-4T preamp with tuning function, you can easily plug it in for gigs or recordings, whilst the relatively narrow neck offers great playing comfort for both beginners and advanced players. You’ll also receive some handy essentials: a protective gig bag for safe transport and storage, a tuner for quick tuning, a guitar strap for playing standing up, and picks so you can start strumming straight away.

As far as ‘budget’ guitars go you cannot, really get much better than Takamine. The GD11MCE-NS Mahogany Electro-Acoustic Guitar (Natural Satin) caught my eye whilst searching through different guitars in the same price range. The Takamine wins hands down on every aspect - build, spec, affordability, finish, tone, playability. This guitar is gorgeous and punches many, many levels above its weight. With a rich tone either plugged in or unplugged it is the only sensible choice in this price range. Treat yourself.

I was great as I was not expecting the bag to be so soft and padded. I can imagine that my daughter will be able to fit a lot more things in the bag with the guitar. Its is light weight and can easily be wiped down if dirty.
