General

Yamaha's URX22 is a modern audio interface equipped with all the features the modern musician or content creator needs. It features several types of inputs: The main inputs are the two combination XLR/jack connectors, both of which accept a mic or line level. One of them also features a Hi-Z, or high impedance, option, so instruments such as electric guitars can also be connected. In addition, it features a stereo 3.5 mm jack aux input, allowing stereo sources to be connected. It also has a headset jack, with a 3.5 mm microphone input and a 3.5 mm stereo headphone output, allowing all common (gaming) headsets to be connected, for easy voice-chat or gaming sessions with excellent sound quality.

Digital Signal Processor and touchscreen

The URX series features a comprehensive Digital Signal Processor that contains the most important effects for music and voice recordings. It is controlled via the 4.3-inch colour touchscreen and its five buttons. For example, use the compressor to make your voice clearly audible and catch nasty peaks. Add a little reverb to create a spatial effect and use the four-band parametric EQ to get the sound just right. The Amp Simulator allows you to record an electric guitar directly and still get a great sound, without the hassle of loud amps and microphones.
