General

Are you looking for a humbucker, but still want to keep that typical P90 sound? Then the DiMarzio DP163F Bluesbucker might be for you. The Bluesbucker is a standard-sized humbucker, but in the style of a P90 pickup. As such, this pickup has one coil that is most active, while the function of the second coil is really just possible 'hum' suppression. The active coil is also the one where the poles are adjustable. You can place this pickup either upright or upside down, with this placement also having a big effect on your sound. If you place it towards the bridge, you get a brighter and tighter sound. If you place it towards the neck, the sound becomes warmer. The special Virtual Vintage and Airbucker techniques provide a nice wide dynamic range, bringing out the nuances of your playing style sublimely. This is an F-spaced pickup, so it is only suitable for guitars with a Floyd Rose or similar tremolo bridge.
