General
The DiMarzio DP169 Virtual P-90 may be a humbucker, but this one is directly inspired by the original soapbar single coil pickups - and you can hear it. For instance, this 'soapbar humbucker' obviously has no hum, and many similarities to the DLX-90, but then the highs are a bit brighter and the lows growl a bit more. On a warm-sounding guitar, this Virtual P-90 works best in the neck and bridge positions. If your guitar is already naturally quite bright, then only the bridge position works best.
