General
DiMarzio have spent twelve years coming up with the design of an authentic vintage-style pickup that offers the sound of the fifties and sixties without the noise associated with pups built back in the day. The result? The DiMarzio DP416W Area 61: a seriously dynamic single-coil pickup that has been designed to do away with noise and can be mounted in any position.
Texas Blues Sound
If you're chasing that classic Texas Blues sound, then the DP416W Area 61 might well be the ticket. This expressive Alnico 2 pickup packs as much character and dynamics as a real vintage single-coil, meaning that the harder you play, the more aggressive the sound gets, while if you play softer or turn down the volume knob of your guitar a little, you get a clearer, quieter sound.
