DiMarzio FG2108WA4 ST Area Pickguard 'loaded' pickguard

The DiMarzio FG2108WA4 ST Area Pickguard 'loaded' is a padded pickguard that easily fits into a Stratocaster-style guitar with a standard 11-hole pickguard. The set consists of a white Stratocaster-style pickguard filled with three white DiMarzio elements, a volume knob, two tone knobs and the well-known five-position switch. The elements in this set are perfectly matched and deliver a well-balanced sound, but most importantly, the unadulterated Stratocaster sound. DiMarzio has used the following elements in the FG2108WA4 ST Area Pickguard:

DiMarzio DP415W Area 58

In the neck position of the ST Area Pickguard is a DiMarzio DP415 Area 58 element. This single coil element delivers a sparkling high and is very dynamic. Two characteristics that DiMarzio says distinguish a good Stratocaster pickup from a great one. Even though the Area 58 produces a lot of high, the element does not sound thin or shrill. Based entirely on an original 1958 Stratocaster element, this pickup delivers that classic vintage sound.

DiMarzio DP419W Area 67

For the middle position, a DiMarzio DP419W Area 67 was chosen. This element is based on the sounds heard at the 1967 Moterry Pop Festival. The world had heard the sound of the Stratocaster and the standard was immediately set. The bright, sparkling sound of the vintage pickups is well reflected in the Area 67. Often, vintage pickups have a drawback: they can be quite noisy. With the Area 67, DiMarzio has released an element that has a traditional Stratocaster sound without the noise and side noises.

DiMarzio DP416W Area 61

To finish things off, there is a DiMarzio DP416W Area 61 in the bridge position. This element produces a lovely vintage sound with no noise or hum. When you play hard, the sound is raw and aghast, but as soon as you hit softer or turn down the volume on your guitar slightly, a clear, mellow tone emerges. This allows for very expressive playing, which makes this pickup well-suited for playing 'Texas' blues, but also definitely suitable for other styles of music.
